This webinar, hosted by the National Partnership’s California State Advocacy Team, introduces triballeaders, transportation engineers and planners, and public health workers to Safe Routes to Schoolthrough the lens of tribal communities.
Speakers from a diverse array of backgrounds will give an introduction to SRTS – including new resources for tribes – and will present an overview of California’s primary funding program for SafeRoutes to School, the Active Transportation Program. Successful case studies of programs in tribalcommunities as well as projects funded through the ATP will also be given. As time allows, an open forum for Q&A’s will be given, with unanswered questions addressed via group email following the webinar.
