Exciting events and activities!

First of all, I would like to thank each individual who participated in the annual SRTS meeting on January 24. Discussions and stories were great. Looking forward to keeping in contact as we move forward with our SRTS projects. If you missed the meeting, don’t worry, it’s been recorded. I have the recording, meeting notes, and presentation slides.

WHEW! Spring is nearly here! and we’re excited to share SRTS with your schools and communities across the state of Iowa. That’s right, we travel anywhere throughout the state of Iowa to teach students about bicycle and pedestrian safety. There’s no better time than the present to schedule a bicycle rodeo, classroom education, or a meeting to help you build up various SRTS programs. Think WALKING SCHOOL BUSES… We love those.

A couple of reminders about the big events occurring this spring….

April 20-May 1 We will be hosting the Annual Punch Card Contest. We have some great prizes for your students. Get your kids walking and biking to school everyday! Registration begins March 2. More information to come.

May is national biking month. A big event we like to be a part of is international bike to school day on May 6. Registration online will begin in the coming weeks. I’ll keep you updated. Don’t forget we can offer classroom education and bicycle rodeos to teach your children more about biking.
