The Iowa Bicycle Coalition and the Iowa Safe Routes to School Resource Center are proud to sponsor the Iowa Kids on the Move Team.  The Iowa Kids on the Move Team is available to teach bicycle and pedestrian safety education and to assist with other Safe Routes to School activities such as bicycle rodeos, walking school bus implementation, or hosting a walk to school day event.

The Iowa Kids on the Move Team can be booked to come to your school and provide students with education and fun encouragement activities that are focused on walking and bicycling safety and living an active lifestyle.  The IKOTM team is available to any school, public or private, serving grades K-8.  There is absolutely no fee of any type to host the IKOTM team, the services are provided free of cost by the Iowa Bicycle Coalition and Iowa Department of Transportation.

Hosting the Iowa Kids on the Move Team can be a great first step in becoming a partnering school in the Iowa Safe Routes to School Partnership.  A place where local safe routes coordinators and champions can communicate and share amongst themselves and with other organizations and businesses who are involved with Safe Routes to School. The partnership will provide a forum for communication and the sharing of best practices between members.  It will also allow local programs to receive any additional assistance or resources that might be available from organizations, advocates, and businesses supporting Safe Routes to School initiatives across the state of Iowa.
